- D. Michael Dale (michael @ nwjp.org), NWJP Executive Director, worked for 25 years as a legal services attorney in Oregon, directing its migrant program. When, in 1995, federally funded legal services were restricted from representing undocumented individuals and from class action litigation, Michael helped establish the Oregon Law Center to meet those needs. He has litigated and won significant cases involving minimum wage law, immigration rights, and workers compensation in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the Oregon appellate courts.
- Patricia Laguna (patricia @ nwjp.org), NWJP paralegal, has long advocated for the rights of working people. She worked for a number of years as a family service worker, and then parent involvement coordinator, at Oregon Child Development Coalition's Migrant Seasonal Headstart program. Among other accomplishments at OCDC, she coordinated development of early education teaching materials that incorporate indigenous languages as well as Spanish and English. A native of Mexico, before moving to the U.S., Patricia worked for La Voz Mixteca de Instituto Nacional Indigenista, a radio station in Oaxaca, and as a producer of educational programming in Mexico City.
- Lindsay Jonasson (lindsay @ nwjp.org), Outreach & Development Coordinator. Lindsay graduated from Pomona College in 2007 and joined NWJP in 2008. Initially hired to work as NWJP's legal assistant, her role has grown to encompass NWJP's larger program goals. She is also vice president of the Board of Directors of Asociación Transamericana de Voluntarios en Solidaridad (ATRAVES), U.S., an international non-profit that builds connections among communities, organizations and people in Nicaragua and internationally to support development, health and educational efforts in Nicaragua.
- Genice Rabe (genice @ nwjp.org), Legislative Counsel. Before joining NWJP, Genice previously worked as a labor and employment discrimination attorney representing unions and plaintiffs in Dallas, Texas for thirty years. A native of Salem, she returned to her Oregon roots in 2009. She is a member of both the Texas and Oregon State Bars.
